A Safety-First Approach to Car Seat Care

Car seats are safety devices — not typical household items.

At Kiddo Clean Seats, every service follows a thoughtful, repeatable process led by a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST). Our approach prioritizes correct handling, manufacturer-aware care, and residue-free cleaning — so parents don’t have to guess.

Safety First

Before anything is cleaned, safety comes first

Every car seat we service is treated as safety equipment first and a cleaning project second.

Before any cleaning begins, we:

  • Review the car seat and its condition

  • Consider manufacturer care guidance

  • Identify appropriate, fabric-safe methods

  • Confirm no structural components will be altered

If something doesn’t align with safe care, we don’t proceed — and we explain why.

Step-by-Step Process

Designed to protect both cleanliness and correct use

Step 1: Seat Review & Preparation

We begin by reviewing the car seat and preparing it for service. This includes identifying removable components and determining the safest cleaning approach based on the seat’s design.

Step 2: Thorough Vacuuming

Loose debris, crumbs, and surface contaminants are carefully removed from cracks and crevices — where buildup commonly hides.

Step 3: Fabric-Only Cleaning (When Appropriate)

Removable fabrics are cleaned using a residue-free, safety-aware approach. Harsh chemicals are avoided, and fabrics are never soaked or pressure washed.

Step 4: Careful Drying & Reassembly

Fabrics are properly dried and reassembled with attention to correct routing and fit. We take our time to ensure everything is returned to its intended position.

Step 5: Optional Safety Check

When included, a CPST-led safety check reviews installation, harness fit, and everyday use — with guidance explained in plain language.

What We Don’t Do

Clear boundaries for safety and peace of mind

To protect how car seats are designed to function, we do not:

  • Soak car seats or components

  • Use pressure washers

  • Apply harsh or chemical cleaners

  • Modify or alter seat structure

  • Force stains out at the expense of safety

Our goal is not cosmetic perfection — it’s safe, thoughtful care.

Why This Matters

Small details make a big difference

Improper cleaning or reassembly can affect how a car seat performs. Our process is intentionally designed to:

  • Support correct, everyday use

  • Preserve how the seat is designed to function

  • Reduce buildup of dirt, bacteria, and odors

  • Give parents confidence after every visit

When care is handled the right way, families can feel reassured every time they buckle in.

Calm, consistent care — every visit

Our process is the same whether it’s your first visit or your fourth.

We don’t rush.
We don’t guess.
And we don’t take shortcuts.

Every step is designed to support your child’s safety — and your peace of mind.
